About Us

About Us

History that shapes the future

The European Biennial of Blacksmith Art of Stia is an international event that since 1976, born from an intuition of Pier Luigi della Bordella and Ivan Bruschi, with the support of the then mayor Vittoriano Frulloni, is today the longest-running event in the sector worldwide.

Thanks to the work of the organizing Association and the involvement of the entire community of Stia, each edition becomes an opportunity to enhance the artisan heritage and promote the Casentino.

Over time, the event has been able to stimulate the interest of the general public in the art of iron, keeping alive the authentic dimension of the “blacksmith d.o.c.“, far from purely technological drifts. A vision that looks to the future without giving up the identity of the craftsman.
