The Third Paradise comes to life: join us in Romena on 4 October

On Sunday 4 October, marking 800 years since the death of St Francis of Assisi, the European Biennial of Blacksmithing Art invites everyone to create a human Third Paradise. By joining hands, participants will form the symbol conceived by Michelangelo Pistoletto: a collective gesture celebrating fraternity, balance between humanity and nature, and Preventive Peace.

Participants will meet at 10 am at Romena Castle for a walk to the Church of San Pietro. The project will be presented at 11:30 am in the Fraternità di Romena auditorium. At 12 noon, everyone will gather in the lavender field beside the church to form the symbol. Visitors can also come directly to the church at noon.

At 4 pm, schoolchildren will create a second human Third Paradise in Ama as part of a civic education project developed with Istituto Comprensivo Alto Casentino and Seeds APS.

The event is organised by the European Biennial of Blacksmithing Art with the Municipality of Pratovecchio Stia, Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte and Hexisart.
