Core
values
The Biennial’s core values guide the Association’s action, shape its internal culture and steer strategic decisions, ensuring consistency in the relationship with blacksmiths and the market.
The Biennial’s vision and activities rest on three key pillars: responsibility, respect and excellence. These principles find concrete application in the Code of Conduct, which defines the ethical and operational standards of interactions within the community and in the practice of the art of forging.
Responsibility
The Biennial’s concrete commitment to safeguarding the craft tradition and protecting its blacksmiths, with an eye on innovation for future generations. It translates into sustainable practices, resource efficiency and the development of targeted projects, embracing the full range of traditional and modern techniques.
Respect
Respect embodies the centrality of the person, valuing the dignity of every individual and actively promoting inclusiveness and diversity within the community. This principle finds direct reflection in the Biennial’s Code of Conduct, which sets rigorous guidelines on the matter.
Excellence
Excellence drives the Biennial towards continuous improvement in every field of wrought-iron art, from forging to sculpture, from drawing to applied design. This constant pursuit of superior quality is reflected both in the mastery of the works produced and in the rigour of the operating practices consolidated over the years.
The Code of Conduct
Our principles find concrete application in the ethical and operational standards that govern the life of the blacksmith community.
